Anti-Racist Action – Washington DC
ARA is an international network of people from all walks of life who are dedicated to eliminating racism, sexism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, homophobia, trans-phobia, and discrimination against the disabled, the oldest, the youngest, and the most oppressed people.
The White House Peace Vigil is an anti-nuclear weapons peace vigil started by William Thomas in 1981.

Love Music Hate Racism (LMHR) was set up in 2002 in response to rising levels of racism and electoral successes for the Nazi British National Party (BNP).
The project reaches out to the community, in order to share ideas, and create a grassroots network for front line disaster relief.
Food Not Bombs is an all-volunteer global movement that shares free vegan meals as a protest to war and poverty. Each chapter collects surplus food that would otherwise go to waste from grocery stores, bakeries and markets, as well as donations from local farmers, then prepares community meals which are served for free to anyone who is hungry. Cop Block is a decentralized project supported by a diverse group of individuals united by their shared goal of police accountability. By documenting police actions whether they are illegal, immoral or just a waste of time and resources then putting direct pressure on the individuals responsible (ideally while recording and then later sharing), we can work together to bring about transparency and have a real impact.
D.C. Library on Wheels
The D.C. Library visits different communities within the metropolitan area of Washington D.C. Provides books for different age groups, genres and with hopes of bringing communities closer as well as encouraging literacy.
