DC Free School: Logic & Rhetoric 103

This course will examine the history of ”truth”, from Aristotelian assertions to Relativism and epistemological nihilism. We will examine how thinkers of the past have viewed truth, and whether logic is still relevant in a world without certainty.

An introduction into the epistemic problems laid out by Hume will be presented, as well as the Kantian response. In addition, we will be discussing ethical reasoning, what can/cannot be logically asserted, and tips for constructing an ethical argument.
